All airlines start the hiring process with an Open House.  They invite as many as 200 people with the average being 30-50. 

They are going to hire 2-3 people out of 50.  That is the average in this industry.
You need to know the questions they are going to ask before you go.  If you do not know what answers they are expecting, you're finished!!
Some of the airlines fly you in for an Open House at their Corporate Headquarters and some of them have an Open House that you must attend and get there on your own.  There are Open Houses all over America. 

*  Are there Flight Attendant Schools?
NO!!!!!  If you find someone saying they have a Flight Attendant School, BEWARE!!!!! 
There is no such thing as a Flight Attendant School.
Ask any airline and they will tell you the same thing!!!!!!!
You do not need to sit in a classroom for a weekend or a year to get hired as a Flight Attendant.
Every airline does their own training.  You have to get hired first, then they put you through THEIR training program.
They pay for training, hotel and food.  Some of the airlines even pay a salary while you are in training.


*  What happens in Flight Attendant Training?
Getting hired is just the beginning.  You still have to make it through training!!!!!
Every airline uses the same Flight Attendant Training Manual in training.  Training is rigorous.  It can be from 3-7 weeks, depending on the airline.  Training can be 16 hours a day, 7 days a week!!!!!
If you get less than a 90% on any test while you are in training, they send you home!!!
30-40% of the Candidates that go to training DO NOT get to Graduate.

*  Do I have to relocate?
No, you do not have to relocate.  50% of the Flight Attendants commute to work.  You fly free anywhere, so you can fly to work.
